Hypothyroidism and Natural Treatment

For anyone who has hypothyroidism, natural treatment can definitely offer some much needed relief. In this article I’m going to outline some great options to help manage your hypothyroidism naturally.

I recommend you start by changing your diet. Certain foods, like those high in tyrosine, will give your sluggish thyroid a boost. Foods such as chicken breast, fish and turkey are a great starting place.

You also need foods which are high in iodine. 2 great sources of this would be Sushi, and salt water fish. You can also take supplements such as sea kelp or a good all rounder like Thyromine (more on that in a tick).

You will also want to avoid foods which are low in natural goitrogens as this will hinder how your thyroid works. Examples of these foods include: Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Spinach, Cauliflower, Peanuts and Peaches.

Supplements are essential for anyone suffering from hypothyroidism and I would recommend you always purchase the best quality you can afford. Make sure you go for iodine in the form of kelp supplements and plenty of vitamin d, B6 and B12.
